Lexus LX
Lexus has kept things simple with the LX 600. There are three trim levels, Premium, F Sport, and Luxury. The LX 600 is powered by a 3.4L V6 twin-turbo engine producing an impressive 409 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque at 2000 rpm. Power is distributed to all four wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters and transfer case. Utilizing a Torsion limited-slip differential, the LX 600 ensures that power is sent to whichever wheels have the most grip. The LX 700h is available in Overtrail, F Sport, Luxury and Ultra Luxury trims powered by a 3.4L twin turbo V6 that produces 409 horsepower mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Extensive standard features are the name of the game with the LX 600. Four-zone automatic climate control, an electronic moonroof, power tailgate, electronically height-adjustable suspension, a wood- and leather-trimmed interior, a 14-way power adjustable driver's seat, a navigation system, Sirius XM radio and a 10-speaker sound system are just some of the highlights on a very long list of standard equipment. All LX 600s come with V6 power and full-time 4-wheel drive and have a towing capacity of 8000lb. This means that even in its most basic form, the LX 600 is a serious vehicle.
The interior of the LX is loaded with technology including a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a mobile hotspot, wireless device connectivity, wireless device charging, and 6 USB ports.
The LX 600 is equipped with ten airbags, traction control, anti-lock brakes and stability control. The side curtain airbags can sense an impending rollover and cover all three rows potentially protecting a full load of seven occupants. Also aiding safety are the Active Front Headrests, which are designed to move upward and forward during rear-end collisions to minimize the chance of spinal injury. Owners who opt for the pre-collision system will also get front and side wide angle cameras to aid in the prevention of minor fender benders while parking. The pre-collision system itself works by using radar mounted in the nose of the vehicle to detect an incoming collision and automatically apply the brakes in order to minimize the speed of impact.
The standard safety features include Lane departure Alert with active steering assist, Road sign Assist, Adaptive cruise control with stop and go, Trailer sway control, crawl control with turn assist and Safety connect which includes Emergency SOS and Tracker system.
