Mazda CX-70 PHEV
The all-wheel drive Mazda CX-70 PHEV is available in two trims: SC and SC Plus. Mazda keeps things pretty simple with a single powertrain option, a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine making 185 horsepower mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The addition of the electric motor increases the power to 323 horsepower and produces an all-electric range of 30 miles; with a charging time of 2.5 hours using a 240-volt level 2 charger.
The base SC model is equipped with plenty of features which include automatic dual zone climate control with separate rear controls, adaptive cruise control with traffic stop-go; along with expected conveniences like power windows and power door locks. More upscale items that come standard on the SC trim include 19-inch aluminum wheels, a power liftgate, a 12.3-inch touchscreen display, wireless phone connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a rearview camera, LED headlamps and daytime running lights, and audio controls on the steering wheel.
Stepping up to the SC Plus trim brings a significant upgrade in luxury and technology, featuring premium leather seats, heated and ventilated front seats, an 8-way power passenger seat, driver memory settings, and a heated steering wheel. All complemented by a 12-speaker Bose sound system, an Active Driving Display (Head-Up Display), and convenient dual 120V power outlets, plus power-folding auto-dimming mirrors, and a spare wheel for added practicality.
The 2026 Mazda CX-70 PHEV prioritizes safety with a comprehensive suite of standard features and enhanced systems on its higher trim. All models come equipped with numerous standard safety systems, including eight airbags, adaptive cruise control, active lane departure, blind spot warning, and driver attention alert. Furthermore, a full array of collision prevention and mitigation technologies are standard, such as forward collision mitigation, rear collision warning, and front pedestrian detection. Opting for the SC Plus trim further bolsters safety with the addition of front and rear parking sensors and rear collision mitigation technology.
