Lexus GX
The GX 550 is offered in 6 trim levels: Premium, Luxury and Overtrail with Plus versions of all three. It comes with a standard powertrain equipped with a 3.4L twin turbo V6 that provides 349 hp and 479 lb. ft of torque. This engine is exclusively combined with a responsive 10-speed automatic transmission, which channels power to a standard full-time four-wheel-drive system featuring a brake actuated limited-slip center differential. Merging onto highways and performing overtaking maneuvers is accomplished with ease, as the generous low-end torque allows the GX to feel nimble while performing well in off-road scenarios. Additionally, the towing capacity is remarkable, with a rating of up to 9,000 pounds.
The Premium trim features a rear spoiler, a power liftgate, a power sunroof, heated side mirrors with integrated turn signals and tilt down in reverse, a 12.3-inch multi-information digital cluster, auto LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, 20-inch alloy wheels, seating for 7, front and rear parking sensors, heated and ventilated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control with separate rear controls, HD/satellite radio capabilities, a 10-speaker sound system, a 14-inch touchscreen multimedia center, integrated voice activated navigation, a mobile hotspot, leatherette seats, 8-way power adjustable front seats with driver seat memory and 6 USB ports.
The Premium+ trim adds front fog lights, cornering lights, heated rear seats, wireless device charging, surround view cameras, and rear pedestrian detection.
The Luxury trim uniquely features 22-inch alloy wheels, lumbar support for the driver's seat, leather upholstery and remote activated approach lights with the Luxury+ trim adding a branded 21-speaker sound system, powered running boards, a refrigerated console and a panoramic glass roof.
The Overtrail trim removes the 3rd row of seating allowing for a capacity of 5 while being uniquely equipped with a driver selectable locking differential, adaptive suspension, active anti-roll, hill descent control, 18-inch alloy wheels with All-Terrain tires, running boards, headlight washers, off-road speed control, a built-in air-compressor, and heated windshield wipers. The Overtrail+ trim adds many of the premium features found on other trims including lumbar support for the driver, a wireless device charger and heated rear seats
The 2026 GX is equipped with the standard Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, which features a range of advanced driver-assistance systems. This all-encompassing package includes front and rear parking sensors, active lane departure, adaptive cruise control, blind spot warning, forward and rear collision mitigation, front pedestrian detection, and a traffic sign information system.
