Mazda CX-50 Hybrid
The 2025 Mazda CX-50 is available in ten trims: S Select Package, S Preferred Package, S Preferred Plus Package, S Premium Package, S Premium Plus Package, Turbo Meridian Edition, Turbo Premium Package, and Turbo Premium Plus Package. Mazda keeps things pretty simple with two powertrain options for the CX-50. Power comes from a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine making 187 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque. The second engine is a turbocharged version of the 2.5L that produces 256 horsepower. Both engines are mated to an efficient Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). The CX-50 comes standard with all-wheel drive.
The new Hybrid model is available in three trims Preferred Package, Premium Package, Premium Plus Package all powered by a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine with 176 horsepower, the addition of two electric motors increases the output to 219 horsepower.
The base model CX-50 is more basic than other versions but is still equipped with plenty of nice features. Air conditioning, cruise control, power door locks and power windows are all generally expected, and all are present. However, more upscale items that come standard on the S Select include 17-inch wheels, a 10.25-inch touchscreen display, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, rearview camera, LED daytime running lights and audio controls on the steering wheel.
The mid-grade S Preferred adds a power liftgate, heated front seats, a 10-way power driver seat, automatic dual-zone climate control, an HD radio, 4 USB ports, and push button start.
The S Premium Plus takes the equipment to another level with black exterior accents, auto-high beams, a power sunroof, heated and ventilated front seats, leather upholstery, satellite radio, a premium 12-speaker sound system, head-up display, and a leather wrapped steering wheel.
The Turbo Meridian Edition trim features the more powerful engine with auto stop-start, paddle shifters, 18-inch wheels, leather seats, driver seat memory, and a garage door opener.
The Turbo Premium Plus trim sits at the top of the lineup and includes directionally adaptive headlights, heated rear seats, voice activated navigation, real-time traffic and weather, hands-free liftgate, wireless device charging, front and rear parking sensors, and a surround view camera system.
Numerous safety systems come standard 8 airbags, adaptive cruise control, active lane departure, blind spot warning, forward collision mitigation, rear collision warning, front pedestrian detection, and a driver attention alert.
The Hybrid CX-50 features a rear spoiler, a power liftgate, heated side mirrors, LED headlights, 17-inch wheels, heated front seats, automatic dual zone climate control, an HD radio, an 8-speaker sound system, a 10.25-inch touchscreen, mobile hotspot, wireless device connectivity and device charging, 4 USB ports, and a leather steering wheel. The Premium Plus Package adds a power sunroof, power folding side mirrors, 19-inch wheels, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, cooled front seats, leather seats, driver seat memory, satellite radio, a 12-speaker sound system, a garage door transmitter, head-up display, and a heated steering wheel.
