The LS 500 is equipped with a 3.4-liter twin-turbo V6 engine that generates 416 horsepower and 442 lb. ft. of torque and is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. This setup ensures robust and smooth acceleration, along with effortless gear transitions. The driving characteristics of the LS 500 are designed to prioritize comfort and stability, resulting in a sophisticated ride. The LS 500h on the other hand, has been discontinued for 2026, leaving only the twin-turbo V6 version. The LS 500 is available in the heritage edition trim, an honorable special trim to seal a multi-decade legacy that the LS series has created.
The LS 500 comes with plenty of equipment as standard including new 20-inch wheels with a dark grey metal finish, triple projector LED headlights with cornering lights, keyless entry and ignition, hands-free trunk, panoramic moonroof, dual-zone climate control with built-in smog sensor, navigation system displayed on 12.3-inch display, park assist system, heated and ventilated front seats, rain-sensing wipers, electronically dimming inside and outside mirrors and tons more. The LS 500 is full of safety technology with Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, including forward collision with automated braking and pedestrian detection, rear collision mitigation, left-turn intersection assistance, adaptive cruise control with traffic stop-and-go, blind spot monitoring, front and rear parking sensors, automatic high beams, driver attention alert, traffic sign recognition, and enhanced lane tracing system.
The Heritage edition also gets the air suspension with height adjust levels, previously found on the hybrid series, a 23-speaker Mark Levison surround sound, 28-way power adjustable driver seat with massage and memory settings, and 20-way power adjustable seats with memory settings. The intuitive parking assist with auto braking is also standard for 2026.
